Youth4SmartCities Officially Kicks Off in Samsun, Türkiye

Samsun, Türkiye | Kick-off Meeting

The Youth4SmartCities project officially began with its first transnational partners' meeting, hosted by Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, bringing together representatives from Türkiye, Portugal and Serbia to launch this exciting European initiative.

During the meeting, partners discussed the project's objectives, work plan, communication strategy, and the implementation of the first work packages. Particular attention was given to strengthening cooperation among partners and ensuring a common vision for empowering young people to play an active role in the development of smarter and more inclusive cities.

The consortium also reviewed the upcoming training activities, dissemination actions, and the development of digital learning resources that will support young people in acquiring digital and civic competences throughout the project.

The meeting marked the beginning of a two-year collaboration dedicated to promoting youth participation, digital innovation, and stronger partnerships between young people and local authorities.

We thank Samsun Metropolitan Municipality for hosting a productive and inspiring kick-off meeting and look forward to the next stages of the project.
